From The North & The South: The easiest access is from the M6 Junction 40 at Penrith onto the A66 west. Bypass Keswick. At Braithwaite take the B5292 over Whinlatter to Lorton and join the B5289 south to Loweswater.

By Rail: The nearest mainline Railway Station is Penrith North Lakes, and if you require a Taxi to bring you to Scale Hill we recommend booking with one of our local services in advance.

Wedding Guests

For those guests who are attending a wedding or event in our local area, we highly recommend that you book a taxi in advance. Even if you think you will drive to the venue and get a taxi home, its essential that you book the return taxi in advance as it is very difficult to get a taxi to come out of town at midnight or in the early hours of the morning. Please remember that when quoting prices all taxis will take into account that they are travelling from Cockermouth or Keswick and then proceeding with your onward journey.
